Villa Le Piazzole Montartino, a historical villa of the seventeenth century, has now been restored and transformed into a Residence and Bed & breakfast with large apartments and suites offering the best services and comfort.

Villa Le Piazzole Montartino features a heated swimming pool from April to October, surrounded by a large garden with an ancient canopy. Our customers can use the self service laundry, and have breakfast upon request.

Villa "Le Piazzole Montartino", until the 15th century the historical estate of the Acciaioli family, was built around an even older medieval tower. It is located on top of the Arcetri hill, at the intersection of two hilly roads quoted in the classical Florentine hill tour (via Suor Maria Celeste - via San Matteo in Arcetri). Despite being very close to the town, as the aerial pictures show, Villa Le Piazzole Montartino offers great quiet and peace thanks to the hills around it and the narrow motorless roads taking to the Villa. In our customers' words, this is a quiet, green oasis, "a different world", compared to Florence, and despite its closeness. You will likely come across hares and pheasants during your walks in the olive groves and the vineyards.

Our heated swimming pool, surrounded by a stone wall and an olive grove, is open from April 1st to the end of October. Ionized sea salt is added to the water to eliminate the effect of chlorination. The pool is equipped with shower, sun loungers, towels and umbrellas.

Villa Le Piazzole Montartino is perched on the hill of Arcetri, behind the Villa del Poggio Imperiale, you can reach us from via Suor Maria Celeste 28, the typical country roads that will quickly take you to the center of Florence, or from via Gherardo Silvani 149/A if you are coming from the A1 Autostrada highway exit Certosa and up along the private road running through the property.

The view from Villa Le Piazzole Montartino offers the wonderful landscape of San Felice a Ema, the Certosa Monastery, and the Chianti hills, a charming scenery dotted with ancient churches and farmhouses.
